RUTHSDOLLS COLLECTIONS...

I decided to make an ‘inventory’ of all the Ruthsdolls outfits I have collected so far and take a couple of group photographs – just for reference, you understand!

First up we have all the pretty check Studio Smocks. I have not used some of the footwear which comes with the dresses on a couple of the larger dolls, as I don’t want to stretch the shoes unduly.

Here are some of the special outfits which are truly delightful and always give me great pleasure. My favourites in this collection change with my mood. At the moment it’s the ‘Bavarian Costume’, but then the Anneliese Smock is so enchanting...

A very sweet post. It is so nice to see your lovely Sashas dressed so beautifully. The outfits are beautiful and taking photos is a great way to take inventory. I am happy you dressed the baby in the last photo though she sure is cute in the buff on the blanket :) xxx

They are all lovely Karin, I do so like Ruth's clothes and The repro smocked dress sets just look so nice on and even better if you have several Sasha's wearing the different colours. I always love the older one's that people sometimes show on their girls, like Kendal.
I am hoping Ruth will do a few new colour's having so many Sasha's to clothe!!
I love your other Ruth dresses too!
Wonderful to see them all on the Sasha's and Gregor and pleased to see that the baby got dressed too!
love Dee xx

Super idea to snap them in a line-up as it makes it much easier to see just what you have and haven't got.....but would like!

The Studio style double row of smocking was one of the very first smocked dresses that I bought off Ruth from her website. I think that there is quite a difference between the early and later styles (the latter shown here) although I can't quite put my finger on it but I think that the first ones were slightly more fuller in the smocking width and a little shorter in the length.

I also have the same lovely golden yellow dress on the right with the apron and I think three of the Annaliese delightful dresses in varying tones.
Love the Sailor, Bavarian and Scottish outfits too although I haven't got any of these.....as yet.

Nice to see a spoting Gregor and baby joining in with the fun.

Hi Ginger, Babies do look cute in the buff! Even Sasha babies! I really did need to find out where I had stashed all the Ruthsdolls outfits and get all the bits back together again! My granddaughter Iona had been rifling through all my clothes boxes - even those which were out of bounds, bless her! xxx Karin

There seem to be a few prudes amongst my Sasha friends, ha ha! Sad, though, that I only have one outfit for the boys from Ruth! I think I may have to do something about this! xxx Karin

Hi Kendal, it would be good if you could illustrate this with a photograph! The smocked Studio dresses. I have a feeling I have seen the ones in the books with broader smocking rows and a lot shorter. They have quite a different look to them. Maybe Sasha fashion changes with time as well. The other day my 6 year old Granddaughter Iona took one of the Sashas dressed in a Ruthsdolls smocked dressed and said to her: 'Let's get you out of this boring dress, shall we?'. I am working on a little blog about little girls and how they like to dress the Sashas. Very illuminating! xxx Karin

What a gorgeous bunch of beautifully dressed kids you have their Karin! I love all the smocked outfits, they're so pretty, Ruth does make lovely smocking. I wish I could muster up some enthusiasm for doing smocking again as I remember I quite enjoyed doing it at the time!
I particularly love the Scottish outfit, it is really really nice. I only have one Ruthsdolls outfit although I have several pairs of her boots and shoes, but one day I plan to get more.
I laughed when you told us previously about what your little grandaughter had said about the dress being boring.....cheeky little thing!!! But I guess it's like a lot of the adult collectors like to dress their Sashas in outfits that they remember from their own childhood or that of their children, whilst the younger generation want to dress theirs in clothes similar to their own....unless you live in Spain of course and then lots of the children here are still wearing the classic styles that never really seem to go out of 'fashion'!!
Big hugs Sharon xx

Sorry that was meant to read 'a sporting' Gregor.
